Losing my Mind ...

I feel a little like I am losing my mind at the moment ... My mother has been in the hospital since this past Sunday, and the doctors still don't know how they are going to "fix" her. In addition to the ongoing issues with her heart, the artery to her one working kidney is now blocked and despite working on her for several hours last night to place a stent in that artery to get the blood flowing to the kidney again, they were unable to get past the blockage. This problem is causing her blood pressure to shoot way up, and then drop way down, which is hard on her already unhealthy heart. As if that weren't enough for her to deal with, fluid keeps backing up into her lungs making it difficult for her to breathe. So, my husband Brad, my Aunt Helen, my Uncle Don and I have taken up residence in the ICU waiting area and we're just awaiting the next step ...
